Question:    Who do we tip, when do we tip and how much do we tip?

Answer: This is a good question and one of the more important ones. The people on the ship who serve you work very hard, as those of you who have been with us before well know. They do not get an hourly wage or big salary from the cruise line, but depend on you for their income. So tipping is a very important part of your cruise. Typically, you will leave a tip for your cabin steward, your waiter and your busboy. A good guideline is if you require the services of either cabin or dinning room service personal, then leave them a tip. Tipping is done on the evening of the last day of your cruise. Envelopes and suggested amounts are left in your room on that day or in some cases will be added into your shipboard charge account. A typical amount would be $3.50 per day for your waiter, $3.50 per day for your cabin steward, and $1.75 per day for your busboy. These are only recommended amounts and are left up to your discretion. Although most people are so impressed by the service they usually leave more than the recommended amounts. Since it is the sole income for those working on the ship, they do their best to please you. On some cruises tipping is not required and if this happens we will make it a point to inform you.
